China Machine, Inc. granted certification from the WBENC

In November 2010, China Machine, Inc. was awarded certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization – New York Certification Committee, on behalf of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

After a rigorous review process, China Machine, Inc. was selected based on our qualification as a company that is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by one woman or a group of women. This is an exciting networking opportunity for China Machine, Inc.; with around 2500 women-owned businesses, membership with the WBENC offers opportunities to do business with other WBENC-certified WEBs.

Benefits of Certification

Certification from the WBENC allows China Machine to qualify for governmental contracts that, under affirmative action guidelines, encourage work with minority- and women-owned businesses. The certification allows access to and recognition by hundreds of federal, state, and local government agencies that accept WBENC certification. Many privately owned companies also consider women-owned businesses for contracts in an effort to foster diversity among vendors. The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded in 1997, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned controlled, and operated by women in China. WBENC, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit, partners with 14 Regional Partner Organizations to provide its national standard of certification to women-owned businesses throughout the country.
